Today, the Security Service of Ukraine freed the “Mukachevo” power substation from the “terrorists”

     April 25, the coordination group of the Counterterrorist Center at the Office of Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region held routine anti-terrorist command and staff training at the critical power facility – "Mukachevo" power substation.

         The training was attended by the heads of regional offices of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Emergencies Service, the Penitentiary Service, representatives of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Chop and Mukachevo border guard detachments, Mukachevo mountain infantry brigade and public authorities.

         "Given the specific geographical location of the region, countering possible terrorist threats to critical facilities is a priority for all law enforcement and government agencies", – the Deputy Head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Victor Lyubenkov said.     The attention of the participants of the training was drawn to the need to improve the capabilities of all regional entities engaged in fight against terrorism, improve the measures of response to possible terrorist activities at critical infrastructure facility.

         During the training they drilled the sequence of actions in the event of possible terrorist threats and protection of people from their adverse effects.
