As a soldier of the 128th Brigade, David was defending the positions on the "Butivka" mine near Avdiyivka, where he came under mortar attack and was seriously injured. For a long time, doctors were fighting for his life, but could not save the soldier. The body of the fallen hero was buried at the cemetery Kalvaria in Uzhgorod.
