As we announced, today, March 23, the concert of Taras Kompanichenko and the band "Khoreya Kozatska" will take place in the Uzhgorod Music College.
The presentation of the album "Songs of the Ukrainian Revolution" will take place.
Taras Kompanichenko and "Khoreya Kozatska" will bring to Uzhgorod a new double album "Songs of the Ukrainian Revolution" released on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Unification Act. The album includes songs written in 1917-1921, in particular, and version of the national anthem of Ukraine. The authors of most of these songs are classics of Ukrainian literature, such as Hrytsko Chuprynka, Mykola Voronyi, Khristya Alchevska, and others. The composers are Kyrylo Stetsenko, Mykola Leontovich, Oleksandr Koshits, Yakiv Stepovy, Pavlo Synytsia, Kostyantin Boguslavsky, Levko Revutsky.
Along with song performance, Taras Kompanichenko tells interesting lectures on the history of a particular piece, about the historical context of that era. Specifically for the festival "History:UA", Taras prepared stories about some of the songs of Carpathian Ukraine that he has found.
