Uzhgorod will have a new element of urban amenities.
New manhole covers are to be installed on the streets of the city. They will not only be anti-vandal, but also, according to the European tradition, they will be decorated with the emblem of the city.
This was promised by the Mayor of Uzhgorod.
"Uzhgorod water utility today has placed an order for the delivery of the first 20 sets of anti-vandal heavy manhole covers from the official representative of "Kasi-Ukraine" (Czech manufacturer). They plan to begin replacing old manhole covers with high-quality European ones next week – on the roadway of Sobranetska Street and Svoboda Avenue. It was also agreed to manufacture manhole covers with the logo of Uzhgorod, they will be installed in pedestrian zones", – Bohdan Andriyiv informed on his facebook page, and showed samples.
