Two plaques decorated the walls of the Transcarpathian Regional Scientific Library. To known Transcarpathian writer, scholar and ethnographer Fedir Potushnyak and to Shevchenko Prize winner, poet Petro Skunts.
The author of the first bronze image is a master of portrait sculpture Bohdan Korzh, the author of the second one is a talented young sculptor, a graduate of Uzhgorod College of Arts and Lviv Academy of Arts Ivan Tsubyna.
The plaques were blessed by the prior of the Uzhgorod Greek Catholic Cathedral, Bishop Milan Shashik.
The formal presentation of commemorative plaques to people who worked in Transcarpathia literature in different years, but with the common desire to bring it to a higher level, took place during the first day of the Uzhgorod Book Fair "Book-fest." And tomorrow, the book fair itself will be held in the "Uzhgorod" gallery.
