A rifleman of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade, resident of Vynogradiv Adalbert Kovács was 36 years old when he was killed near Debaltseve in January 2015
Before the service in the ATO, the soldier worked at the sewing factory "Hrono". He was posthumously awarded the Order "For courage" of the III degree. He was survived by parents, wife and children.
Vynogradiv is honoring its hero. One of the streets was named in his honor, he is an honorary citizen of the town, and today, at the solemn school line-up, the memory of Adalbert Kovacs was perpetuated by the establishment of a memorial plaque on the facade of the city secondary school №1, where he studied.
This is a sincere gratitude to a true patriot who unhesitatingly joined the ranks of the army and gave his young life for peace in his native land.
Each of those present at that time felt the pain of loss. This was stated by the parents of the hero, teachers, government officials and representatives of NGOs in their speeches.
The memorial plaque was opened with the assistance of the public organization "Union of the ATO Veterans", volunteers of the "Patriot" and the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers-Vynogradiv.
After the consecration of the plaque and a military salute, family members and volunteers released doves to the sky as a symbol of peace.
Symbolic is the fact that from the former Sevlyush School (now the school №1) seminarians went to Krasne Pole where they died for freedom. Many years later, Adalbert Kovács followed the way of the young patriots.
