Through the stomach – to cooperation (PHOTOS)

This weekend, culinary enthusiasts from different parts of the region, as well as from abroad for the first time gathered in the village of Chaslivtsy in Uzhgorod district. Even the bad weather did not prevent the international culinary celebration – on the contrary, almost two hundred people eager to taste fragrant bohrach, baked potatoes, cakes and other goodies gathered in the field near the village club. The dishes were presented not only by local chefs, but also by guests from Serbia and Hungary. 
Head of the village council Royak Maria says that in this way they decided to unite different peoples, so to speak, at one table, where each participant had to add some zest to this festival. Of course, everyone had to submit their national dish at the gastronomic event. 
The village of Chaslivtsy is famous for its signature stuffed cabbage. "To paraphrase a Ukrainian proverb, we have conceived, that possibly the way to cooperation with representatives of other countries is through the stomach. And thanks to holidays, people have the opportunity not only to share some experience, but communicate in such a relaxed atmosphere – said the village head. – I wish that our friends from Slovakia were able to join us, but given the fact that this event is going to be traditional, I think in the following years representatives of other nationalities will participate."
It is known that in this village of Uzhgorod district, the community life is very active: together with friends from abroad, they conduct various folk festivals to greet the different seasons. Thanking for their hospitality, the guest of the holiday, regional deputy Volodymyr Smolanka noted the villagers’ activity in the organization of this festival, thanked the head of the village council, who managed to gather representatives not only from Ukraine, but also from abroad.
