The day after the detention of 6 citizens of Afghanistan, border guards of the "Uzhgorod" department detained another group of "European happiness seekers."
Three unidentified persons were stopped by border guards 500 meters away from the border with Slovakia. At the request of the border guards to provide IDs, the men said that they had no documents. The destination of their illegal trip was Austria, where their relatives live.
The offenders were delivered to the station to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. In the course of these measures, border guards found out that all three men had been detained before by the State Border Service officers for trying to illegally cross the border with Ukraine to Hungary.
Decision on the offenders’ liability under the law and their further fate will be determined by the court.
