Three offenders tried to transport 26.5 thousand packs of cigarettes to Romania

Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment together with an officer of internal security prevented an attempt to illegally transport a large batch of tobacco products across the border, the press service of the Mukachevo border guard detachment informs. Three offenders, who tried to transport 53 boxes of cigarettes to Romania by horse-drawn carts, were detained by border guards of the "Dyakovo" department 800 meters to the border. The detained men did not have any documents on them. During the filtration measures it was established that they were Ukrainian citizens living in the village of Velyka Palad in Vynogradiv district. The found 26.5 thousand packs of cigarettes were handed over to the SFS. Investigative activities are being carried out.
