Three motorcycles in a disassembled state were found by the border guards of the Chop detachment during the inspection of a minibus Mercedes-Benz, which was entering Ukraine via the crossing point "Tisa".
During the examination of the vehicle with Bulgarian registration, the border guards noticed signs of possible transportation of items or goods hidden from the customs control in it. So, the car was sent for an in-depth inspection, during which a cache was found.
In the minibus, a double partition was made between the passenger and luggage compartments. To disguise the cache, the outside walls were covered with the same fabric as the rest of the cabin. In the cache, a 28-year-old Ukrainian tried to transport from Hungary to Ukraine three motorcycles "KTM" in a disassembled state.
According to the current legislation, the minibus "Mercedes" made in 2006 worth over 240 thousand hryvnias was confiscated by the SFS employees. The value of the motorcycles is currently being determined, the press service of the Chop border guard detachment reported.
