The draft decision "On amendments to the Program of Tourism and Resorts Development in Transcarpathian region for 2016 – 2020" is submitted for the consideration of of the regional council deputies.
The goal is the efficient use of the funds for the implementation of the measures under the Program of Tourism and Resorts Development in Transcarpathian region for 2016-2020, the promotion of the tourism potential of the region, incl. through establishing close cooperation with other structural subdivisions of the RSA, institutions, enterprises and public organizations.
The source of financing is the regional budget. The indicative amount of financing for 2017 is UAH 3 million.
It is expected to increase the attractiveness of the region as a tourist site, to improve the quality of tourist services, to expand the network of tourist information centers, including at narrow-gauge railway stations, to increase tourist flows to the territory of the region through improvement of the road system, as well as the formation of a favorable tourist image, expansion of the geography of tourist flows to the region, activation of tourism business in the region, presentation of tourist potential of the region and establishing cooperation with tourist agencies in Ukraine and neighboring countries in the field of tourism and resorts development, promotion of a positive image of tourism in Transcarpathia on domestic and foreign markets through participation in special events and more.
