A special event is expected in the regional center. It will deal with human rights violations in the occupied territories as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The organizers announce: November 28, 2016, at 11.30, in Uzhgorod at Narodna Sq., 4 (2nd floor) in the small hall of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, in cooperation with the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Transcarpathian region will present the results of the monitoring study "Those who survived hell: the testimony of victims of illegal imprisonments in Donbas."
The publication is the result of monitoring research conducted by the Coalition of NGOs and initiatives "Justice for Peace in Donbas" in close cooperation with the Commissioner of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights and is aimed at documenting evidence of serious human rights violations related to illegal imprisonment in the area of armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The study is based on the testimonies of those, who have been illegally held in captivity in Donetsk and Luhansk regions by illegal armed groups, the materials collected during monitoring visits to the places of captivity in the liberated territories, as well as information obtained from public authorities and from public sources.

At 11.00, before the presentation of the report, there will be the screening of the eponymous documentary "Those who survived hell."
