This year, the Narcissus Valley will bloom later

Usually, the phenomenon of "mass flowering" in the Narcissus Valley takes place on 9 – 15 of May

Narcissus blossoming depends on temperatures in April – May. For example, in 2014-2016, warm early spring contributed to the early blooming of daffodils.

Mass blooming of flowers was observed as early as on May 1-2. This year, the spring is rather cold. Flowering will begin later. Thus, on May Day weekend, there may be first occasional flowers, providing the weather in the last week of April is warm and sunny.

If cold weather remains, there may be no flowers on the first days of May. Therefore, representatives of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve advise this year to plan trips to the Narcissus Valley on the weekends of 6-9 of May and 13-14 of May.
