According to experts, this year, high flood with negative implications is not expected. This was announced during the inter-agency meeting at the Kyiv HPP (the city of Vyshgorod) by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Serhiy Danylyuk. The meeting of the Inter-Agency Commission was attended by representatives of the State Emergencies Service, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Ukravtodor, the State Water Agency, the Ministry of the Regional Development.
Serhiy Danylyuk – the First Deputy Chairman of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine – said that at present the water in the rivers is below the average acceptable level, the analysis of the complex factors shows that there will be no high floods with significant consequences for the economy in 2013. In addition, the official assured that the State Emergencies Service constantly monitors the flood situation in the country in order to promptly respond to all possible threats and timely informs the authorities and citizens about the situation.
On the rivers of Carpathian region the situation is currently under control and does not give rise to any concerns, informed the official site of the Ministry of Emergencies.
