This Monday for Uzhgorod started with another unpleasant news: the arson of the "Deep" terrace on Nezalezhnist embankment.

The publication korzonews noted that in the process of dismantling the charred structures, three spans of railings on the banks of the Uzh were damaged. They also reminded that not so long ago a similar, but much smaller in scale, damage to railings on Teatralna Sq. was estimated by municipal authorities at unreal amount of 10,000 UAH. Thus they expressed reasonable concern that in this case, they would spent much more time for repairs, and that there would be problems with funding.

But it took only two days, and we can say with certainty that the complexity of solving such problems depends only on the will of those who want to deal with them. On September 17, the fallen columns and pipes were put in their rightful place. The only thing that’s left to be done is perhaps painting them.

The publication decided to thank the entrepreneur – owner of the former terrace for efficiency and understanding the social interests of Uzhgorod. That is exactly how you should deal with the aftermath of different emergencies.
