As we wrote, a state of emergency in the energy sector has been introduced in Ukraine.

In this regard, the head of the company "Ukrenergo" Vsevolod Kovalchuk said that the united energy system of Ukraine will be able to work steadily without any power outages until 15-20 of March, the Interfax-Ukraine informs.

"We can guarantee that at the current operating mode and temperatures, no one is going to be affected by this state of emergency until 15-20 of March," – he said. According to Kovalchuk, there is over 800 ths. tons of anthracite coal in the warehouses of generating companies, and over 100 ths. tons in warehouses of CHPs. He stressed that the aim of the state of emergency is to avoid scheduled power outages. Currently, anthracite thermal power plants consume about 30 ths. tons a day and it is planned to reduce the consumption to 20 ths. tons a day.

Kovalchuk said that power outages can be avoided after March 15 too, if domestic consumers consume 10% less electricity during peak hours, and about 10% of industrial enterprises will switch to night working hours.

As you know, in late January. ATO veterans and members of the Parliament blocked the railway branch Luhansk – Lysychansk – Popasna on the section Hirske – Zolote to end the trade with illegal armed groups. Later, the station Svetlanovo was blocked.
