There will be an airport in Mukachevo: this was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure

"The Ministry of Infrastructure is working on the construction of a new airport in Mukachevo," – the Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Krykliy said following a government meeting.
He noted that the government has agreed to reduce the state budget share of net profits for state-owned infrastructure companies.
"The share of net income to be paid by Boryspil and Lviv airports to the state budget has been reduced to 30%. Previously, 90% of income was subject to deduction," – the minister added.

Currently,  there is one large airport in Transcarpathian region – in Uzhgorod. Uzhgorod Airport is located near the border with Slovakia. Therefore, aircrafts en route to or from the airport must enter the airspace of that country. This creates problems for the airport. Ukraine and Slovakia agreed to solve them at the end of 2019.
