The winners of one of the most prestigious book ratings of Ukraine – "Book of the Year 2016" – have become known. Among the winners, there are publications by Transcarpathians – Oleksandr Havrosh, Miroslav Dochynets, Oksana Lutsyshyn, and a local history book by the "Oleksandra Harkusha Publishing House."
The books by the "Oleksandra Harkusha Publishing House" – Florian Zapletal’s "Wooden Churches of Transcarpathia" and "Towns and Villages of Transcarpathia" – were recognized the best among local history, tourist books in the category "Advertasing card"
Another book of this publishing house – "Legends of the Silver Rus" by Oleksandr Havrosh – is in the top three. This publication was ranked third among 66 books for middle school students in the category "Children’s holiday". By the way, the book "Legends of the Silver Rus" was recognized the best children’s book in the competition "Book for St. Nicholas Day" and the festival "Book Fest 2016".
In the category "Fiction", two Transcarpathian writers – Oksana Lutsyshyna with the novel "Love Life" and Miroslav Dochynets with the book "Maftey. The Book Written with a Dry Pen" – received prizes.
