The youth festival of organ music in Uzhgorod will open with the performance of a Polish musician

On September 14, the 9th International Youth Organ Music Festival will start in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.  The guest from Krakow Camil Mika will open the program. The young Polish organist received a Master’s degree in Performing Arts at the Krakow Academy of Music, the class of Professor Andrzej Bialko, and continued his studies in Mainz (Germany). He has participated in numerous master classes in Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and the USA. Camil Mika has performed at many European music festivals, is the winner of the National Concert of Organ and Chamber Music "Per Artem ad Astra" (Poland, 2007) and the Xth International Orchestra Competition (Italy, 2011). His repertoire covers music of all ages. 

 The winner of international competitions Diana Havata (cello) and the symphony orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic will also take part in the concert. Camil Mika will introduce Uzhgorod audience to the best works of Polish composers Marian Sawa, Mieczysław Surzyński, Feliks Nowowiejski, and Ukrainian music will be represented by the Elegy for cello and organ op.39 and "Overture" to the opera "Taras Bulba" by Mykola Lysenko. Conductor – Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoria Svalyavchik-Tsanko. The event will be hosted by the music historian Natalia PITSUR. The concert starts at 18.30.   

In general, the 9th International Youth Festival of Organ Music named after Natalia Vysich will present Transcarpathian music lovers 5 different concert programs. In addition to the representative of the Polish Organ School, we will hear performers from Kyiv, Slovakia and Hungary. The festival will finish on September 27 with the concert of the soloist of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Society, the winner of the international competitions, Katerina Hazho (organ).
