The works of Transcarpathian artists are exhibited in a modern gallery in Kosice (PHOTOS)

On September 10, the presentation of works by Transcarpathian artists took place in the city of Kosice (Slovakia).70 works by more than 30 authors of several generations, representing different types, genres, styles of fine arts and different artistic unions, are exhibited in the gallery of the city art complex "Kulturpark". 

The exhibition opening was attented by the consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Laszlo Vida, the head of the Culture Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Victoria Frolova and the deputy head Ildiko Molnar, the director of the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum Francisk Erfan, the chairman of the Transcarpathian regional organization of the National Union of Artists Boris Kuzma, many famous artists of the region.

The exhibition is the final event of the project "Slice of contemporary art of Transcarpathia", which was launched early in the year with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod. According to the consul László Vida, the first presentation under the project took place in Miskolc on Hungarian Culture Day which was also attended by a delegation from Slovakia. It was then when the idea to present the traveling exhibition of Transcarpathian artists in Košice sprang up. In addition to the already mentioned Miskolc, the exhibition took place in three Hungarian cities – Debrecen, Budapest and Erdi.

In turn, the director of the Transcarpathian Regional Museum Francisk Erfan said that they plan to present the "Slice of contemporary art of Transcarpathia" in Lviv and Chernivtsi. In addition, on September 15, in the Central House of Artist of the National Union of Artists in Kyiv, there will be the opening of the anniversary exhibition of the Transcarpathian regional organization of the National Union of Artists. And the exhibition in Kosice will continue until September 25. In memory of the presentation, the organizers, participants and visitors of the exhibition received a special catalog "Roots and crown. Slice of contemporary art of Transcarpathi".
