The works for the restoration of the Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating have started in Mizhhirya district

The contractor, which won the tender for the restoration of the Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating on the Chorna Rika in Mizhhirya district, has commenced the work.

– The Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine has transferred the necessary funds for the restoration of the Museum, therefore we expect the works to be completed and the renovated Museum to be opened by the end of this year, – Hennadiy Moskal said.

Recall that the only in Europe (and one of the two in the world) Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating in Mizhhirya district, which belongs to the Ministry of Ecology and is a part of the Synevyr National Nature Park, suffered significant damage during the disastrous floods of 1998 and 2001. Local residents and the public did not allow to privatize the unique facility. Hennadiy Moskal through the court initiated the return of the Museum to the balance of the Ministry of Ecology and thus made possible the financing of reconstruction works.

After the opening, the Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating, will become a gem of the Carpathians, one of the wonders of Ukraine, that thousands of tourists will be coming to see.
