On December 22, the "Window of Life" was opened on the territory of Beregovo district central hospital, the Mukachevo.net reported.
Mothers can leave unwanted newborns there. Similar initiatives have been implemented in many Ukrainian cities to rescue infants, whose parents are not able to keep them.
The "Window of Life" was opened on the initiative of the charitable foundation "The future is in our hands". It is located near the reception department of the of the hospital and will be opened around the clock.
By the way, the first "Window of Life" in Transcarpathia was opened in Mukachevo near the reception department of the regional children’s hospital at I.Franko st., 43.
The first "Window of Life" in Beregovo district was consecrated by the priests of different confessions – Fr. Janos Molnar (Roman Catholic Church), Ferenc Torockezi (Reformed Church) and Victor Sabo (Greek Catholic Church).
The charitable fund chairman Sandor Kurmay thanked the hospital management and foreign volunteers – Charlotta Leet, Attila and Beatrice Ponevac – for their assistance.
By the way, the charitable foundation "The future is in our hands" (Beregovo) also helps people to adopt children from Transcarpathian orphanages.
