The war for communal agricultural land continues in the region

In the course of investigation into disposal of state and communal property lands, the Tyachiv local prosecutor’s office established the fact of illegal privatization of a 0.70 hectares land plot on the basis of forged resolutions of the Topchyno village council session. Thus, a communal land plot worth more than UAH 420 thousand was privatized on the basis of non-existent resolutions of the said local self-government body. The prosecutor’s office found out that Topchyno village council had not adopted any resolutions on this issue and the land had never been granted to private citizens. 

Therefore, the local prosecutor’s office filed a claim with the Tyachiv District Court demanding to recover the land and cancel of the state registration of title to the land. The Tyachiv local prosecutor’s office registered a criminal proceeding over the offense with a preliminary legal classification under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (forgery). The pre-trial investigation was entrusted to the Tyachiv department of the Transcarpathian regional police. Forensic examinations are ongoing.  Press Service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region
