The youngest collective of the oldest state concert institution of Transcarpathia – the variety and brass band of the Regional Philharmonic – was founded in November 2005. Since the foundation, the band has been managed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Spivak and quickly gained a considerable circle of fans.
Presenting several new programs every year, the orchestra always surprises music lovers with a wide creative range and consistently refined musical taste.
The collective is young not only because of its experience, but also because of the age of its participants – the artistic director managed to bring together the most talented young musicians of the region, not just skilled artists, but people who really love what they do – this is evidenced, in particular, by their smiling faces, subtle movements to the rhythm of music, inspired atmosphere on stage that the audience feel too.
At the jubilee concert, the variety and brass band shared the stage with soloists of the Philharmonic and members of other professional music groups of the region.
The musicians received diplomas of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Regional Council and of the Department of Culture of the RSA, and also a shower of applause and compliments from its many fans.
