The unique museum may be restored by the end of the year

The contractor, which won the tender for the restoration of the Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating on the Chorna Rika in Mizhhirya district, has commenced the work, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informed.

– The Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine has transferred the necessary funds for the restoration of the Museum, therefore we expect the works to be completed and the renovated Museum to be opened by the end of this year, – Hennadiy Moskal said.

Recall that the only in Europe (and one of the two in the world) Museum of Forestry and Timber Floating in Mizhhirya district, which belongs to the Ministry of Ecology and is a part of the Synevyr National Nature Park, suffered significant damage during the disastrous floods of 1998 and 2001.
