The UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Neil Walker is visiting Transcarpathia

Today, the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Neil Walker, the UNDP Senior Programme Manager Oksana Remiga and the International Project Manager Hendrik van Zil are visiting Transcarpathia. They are assessing the cooperation of the EU / UNDP project "Local CBA Development". They already had a meeting with the Chairman of of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko.
  

"Transcarpathia has been collaborating with project for seven years. Partnerships with all 13 districts, 116 local councils, 116 public associations of the region have been established. Almost 21 million hryvnia has been invested in the development of Transcarpathian communities under the project. For these funds, we have implemented 86 projects in energy efficiency, 24 – in health care. We discussed with UNDP managers how the third phase of the project will be implemented in Transcarpathia.

Uzhgorod and Khust, 29 village and 2 town councils have already joined the project.The focus will be on energy saving measures.
