The UkSATSE will be certified by the EASA for re-launch of regular flights from the Uzhgorod airport

The UkSATSE has completed the 2nd stage of procurement and installation of a modern dispatcher simulator, the Center for Transport Strategies informed.

The UkSATSE and European Agency for Air Safety (EASA) have signed a contract for the certification of the UkSATSE in accordance with the European Union standards. The document was initiated by the aviation authorities of Slovakia in the context of the creation of conditions for servicing Uzhgorod airport flights in the airspace of this country.

The document was signed on Tuesday in Strasbourg, France, the CTS reported with reference to the Ministry of Infrastructure. The signatories were the head of the UkSATSE Dmytro Babaychuk and the EASA Executive Director Patrick Ki.

Recall that in 2016, Ukraine and Slovakia agreed to introduce a special air traffic regime in the Uzhgorod airport area. According to it, flights to this airport will be carried out according to the rules of visual flights. It will be in force until the signing of a new intergovernmental agreement.
