The “Ukrposhta” already takes commissions for utilities payments

Since recently, commissions for utilities payments are to be paid not only in some banks, but also in the "Ukrposhta". At least 2 hryvnia for services rendered by certain companies. This applies in particular to the MU "Vodokanal of Uzhgorod", the "Ukrtelecom" JSC…  

"If the payment is up to 135 UAH, you will have to add 2 UAH; if the payment is up to 400 UAH – 1.5% of the amount; if the payment is up to 1000 UAH – 1 %; if the payment is over 1000 UAH – 0.8% – Vasyl Sychevsky, the Acting Director of the Transcarpathian Directorate of the "Ukrposhta" said.

This innovation was introduced because the accounting department of the national mail operator in the region found out that it was unprofitable.

"38 of 62 contractors do not cover the cost of services. To restore profitability, we suggested them to increase prices. 18 of them agreed. 20 did not. So we terminated their contracts!"- the head of the company said.

The list of "protesters against price raise" includes mostly housing offices and condominiums. They say that the tariff structure does not provide for fees for settlements. These obligations were shuffled off to taxpayers, that is, us.

Thus, in addition to increasing the cost of housing services, customers also have to have an average of 6 UAH per month for commission. At least, those who pay at the "Ukrposhta".   

However, some banks do not take extra money for utilities payments, so it is preferrable for customers to find them. At least, for those who want to save.
