The transit of Russian gas through Ukraine dropped by 28%

In 2014, the transportation of Russian gas through Ukraine, compared with the previous year decreased by 28% to 62.2 billion cubic meters.

This was announced by the press service of the "Ukrtransgaz" PJSC.

"59.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas was transported for European countries, which is 29.1% less than that in the previous year," – the statement says.

As noted, transportation of gas through Ukraine to CIS countries during 2014 increased by 18.3% to 2.8 billion cubic meters.

"For consumers of Ukraine, 42.6 billion cubic meters was transported for 12 months in 2014. In total, in 2014, the volume of marketable gas was 100.5 billion cubic meters, which is 23% less than that in the last year" – the press service informed.
