The Transcarpathian painting school has amazed Hungary

A unique exhibition began in Debrecen, Hungary. Here, more than 70 works (paintings and sculptures) of Transcarpathian artists were placed on exhibit. According to the organizers, there has not been such a large-scale exhibition of Transcarpathian art works abroad since the independence of Ukraine.

The exhibition is supported by the Hungarian government and the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod.

Before its appearance in Budapest, the exhibition will travel to Miskolc and other Hungarian cities. However, the journey will not end there, since it is expected to come to Slovakia.

The Transcarpathian school is represented by 31 artists: Volodymyr Mykyta, Borys Kuzma, Natalia Hrabar, Olena Kondratiuk, Anton Kovach, Ivan Brovdi, Bohdan Korzh, Volodymyr Pavlyshyn, Attila Kopryva, Ferents Erfan, Olexandr Hromovyi, Yaroslav Boretskiy, Liudmyla Korzs Radko, Laslo Madiar, and others.

The exhibition was attended by the artists, their Hungarian colleagues and the representatives of Ukrainian and Hungarian media.

According to Attila Kopryva, a significant contribution of the Transcarpathian school of painting is being represented in Hungary now.

He said that the nomination to the exhibition was held not only between renown artists but also among young professionals. All that mattered was to represent the Transcarpathian painting worthily.
