The festival of Slovak folk art "Slovenska Veselica" is a significant cultural event in Transcarpathia. Since 1995, it has been "traveling" between the settlements of Transcarpathia densly populated by Slovaks.
This year, the holiday will visit the picturesque village of Serednye in Uzhgorod district for the fifth time. The event will take place on Sunday, September 22, and will start at 14.00.
The festival will be attended by folklore groups from Slovakia, as well as Slovak bands from other countries: Hungary, Romania, Serbia. Each year, the number of participants, as well as their creative and professional level increases.
During the event, exhibitions of works of folk craftsmen of the region will also be organized – painting, woodcarving, ceramics, embroidery, etc. The holiday ends with entertainment, dances, sports tournaments.
