The track and field athletics section of the main stadium of the region was solemnly opened in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

As we announced, today, April 13 at 12.00, the renovated stadium "Avangard" was officially opened in Uzhgorod.

The "Avangard" stadium in Uzhgorod has 10,000 spectator seats, the pershij.com.ua wrote.

The track and field athletics core is paved with polyurethane coating Conipur SW (Switzerland) – seamless sandwich system with a thickness of 14 mm for professional athletics track and universal sports grounds of the highest class. Conipur SW is the most popular system for stadiums in Europe.

The updated Uzhgorod arena will meet the requirements of the IAAF second category (subject to the provision of the CONIPUR SW track and field tracks pavementsuch as at the UzhNU stadium, located 200 meters from the main arena). The second category stadium will enable to host international competitions at the level of European championships.
