The open mountain bike cycling tournament "Velolider" took place today in the Bozdosh Park in Uzhgorod. It was oganized for children and youth by the cycling and tourist club "Leader".
Mykola Shchadey, the head of the cycling club, the main organizer of the competition, told the participants about the rules before the start. He also said that such competitions are held to promote cycling, as well as to draw public attention to the safety of cyclists in the city, to find talented children who could further grow in the cycling section at the Uzhgorod Secondary School №20-Lyceum "Leader".
Due to the quarantine, the age of participants was limited this year. To reduce the number of young cyclists, the competition was held in the age group of 7-12 years, while in previous years the youngest participants were 3-4 years old.
