This morning, at the checkpost in Nyzhni Vorota, law enforcement officers arrested a truck which, according to the documents, was transporting mineral wool, the Work Organization Department of the Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region informs. During the inspection of the truck, the police found tobacco products along with the said goods in the trailer. Thus, they stopped an attempt to move cigarettes to the region for the subsequent smuggling of the tobacco products from Ukraine abroad.
Also, they had doubts about the authenticity of the documents. According to the analysis, officers of the Transcarpathian customs office found out that the stamps under customs control in the documents were forged, and there was no information in the database on customs clearance of the goods by customs offices of Ukraine. It was also found out that the sender company has never been engaged in foreign economic activity.
Currently, the cargo, accompanied by law enforcement officers, is being tarnsported to Kyiv for investigation.
