The the regional authorities promise to honor everyone

The regional authorities in May will grant state awards to all killed Transcarpathian participants of the ATO and to those soldiers who are, fortunately, still live and distinguished themselves on the front. This was discussed by the head of the region Vasyl Hubal in Kyiv at the meeting with the President of Ukraine on Thursday, April 30, therefore the regional authorities are preparing the documents.

Feats of Ukrainians, particularly Transcarpathians, in protecting the integrity and independence of the state must be properly honored, the official emphasizes. And this is especially relevant for those who gave their lives.

"Also I order representatives of regional authorities, districts and local governments in the coming days to visit members of the killed ATO participants’ families – to talk to them, to get to know their problems and needs, to find a way to help in all matters of concern" – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal said. The head of the land says: "Of course, no one can make up for the loss and diminish the pain that we share with all community. But the families should know that they are not alone, that they are cared about."

It is particularly important to pay increased attention to the ATO participants and their families at a time when we are commerating important historical dates: May 8 – the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in Ukraine and May 9 – th Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II. By the way, these events are commemorated in Ukraine under the slogan "1939-1945. We remember. We win."
