The terms and possibilities of quarantine mitigation were discussed at the president’s office

At the traditional meeting to address the epidemic at the President’s Office, they looked at various options for quarantine mitigation.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal noted that, first, it is necessary to mitigate quarantine measures at non-critical infrastructure facilities, which can play a role in stabilizing the economy.

“ We need to tell people exactly when and what will be opened, a clear government action plan. The incidence peak is expected in early May. People need to know if they will be allowed to walk in the parks, when hairdressers, notaries, lawyers and other businesses will start working again.

He also stressed that Ukraine had introduced quarantine in a timely manner and thus avoided a critical situation with the number of patients.

The government plans to extend quarantine measures since the peak period of coronavirus morbidity has not passed yet – it is expected in early May.
