The Synevyr Lake has been included in th list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites

World-wide recognition was preceded by a coordinated and constructive work of a whole team of European scientists, including those of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.

National natural parks "Synevyr", "Zacharavony krai", and "Podilsky Tovtry", as well as natural reserves "Horhany" and "Roztochya" were included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

As reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, it happened during the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Poland, the ubr.ua informs.

The beech virgin forests of the Carpathians within the most valuable natural areas of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, the Uzhok National Park and the Slovak National Park "Polonyny" were recognized by UNESCO in 2007 and expanded in 2011.
