The State Emergencies Service declared the hail in Transcarpathia an emergency of regional level (document)

This decision is the grounds for the allocation of compensation from the reserve fund of the Cabinet for damages caused by the hail

On Wednesday (6.07), the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine, by their expert opinion, confirmed the decision of Transcarpathian regional commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies on the recognition of the hail on June 21 as a natural emergency situation of the regional level. The expert opinion of the State Emergencies Service was made on behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

– This document is the grounds for allocation of compensation to Transcarpathia from the reserve fund of the Government for damages both in private sector and social facilities, – the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal said. – Now our services are calculating the final amount of damages and tomorrow (8.07) all the necessary documents will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
