The soiree in memory of Vladimir Vysotsky will take place in the regional library

On January 25, Wednesday, at 17.00, the soiree "Vladimir Vysotsky: the flight continues" will be held in the main library of the region (Svoboda Ave., 16)

Vladimir Vysotsky is a cult figure that needs no introduction.

Vysotsky wrote about 700 songs and poems, toured in the USSR and abroad. He wrote several prose works. As an actor, he played about thirty roles in films, including "Meeting Place Can Not Be Changed", "Vertical". Vysotsky was particularly famous for his songs performed with an an acoustic guitar. In times of strict censorship, he touched on a number of taboo topics, because of which he was persecuted, he was forbidden to appear in many films and he was let abroad only because of his wife – French actress Marina Vlady

 Few people know that Vladimir Vysotsky gave a secret concert in Uzhgorod. The date and place are known – June 1974, the hotel "Uzhgorod". Visitors of the event will be able learn about this and other facts of the singer’s biography. And also, to listen to Vysotsky’s poetry, songs and songs of other artists influenced by Vysotsky.

     In addition, during the soiree, there will be a presentation of the film "In the footsteps of Vysotsky" made by an Uzhgorod filmmaker Shoni Horonhlab.
