The smuggler diplomat is contesting her dismissal from the Foreign Ministry, the case of her husband has been reviewed

The former First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovakia Oksana Lischyshyn, who became famous because of her husband’s involvement in smuggling of cigarettes under the guise of "diplomatic cargo", is contesting her dismissal from the Foreign Service.

Tis was reported to the "Yevropeiska Pravda" by sources in the Foreign Ministry.

The sources informed that the notorious diplomat demands to cancel her dismissal from the Foreign Service, to reinstate her in the office at the embassy, and to compensate for material damage.

The information in open court registers confirms it.

Thus, on the portal "Judiciary Power of Ukraine", there is an entry of a complaint 826/15473/16, filed by Oksana Lischyshyn against the Ministry, against the Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of personnel matters and against the chairman of the commission, which confirmed the breach of oath by Oksana Lischyshyn. The two diplomats and the Foreign Ministry are mentioned as "debtors" of the former diplomat.

The detailed text of the claims has not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, Uzhgorod court found Serhiy Lischyshyn, Oksana Lischyshyn’s husband, guilty of an attempt to smuggle cigarettes across the customs border of Ukraine.

In the previous court order, it was stated that he had presented at the customs a letter of diplomatic mail signed by his wife, the First Secretary of the Embassy. Serhiy Lischyshyn also presented at the border a diplomatic passport.

According to the resolution in this case, the court confiscated the goods and the smuggler diplomat’s minibus.

However, as of December 7, on the portal "Judiciary Power of Ukraine", it is stated that Lischyshyn has successfully appealed the conviction. According to the portal, the resolution has been revised. However, the decision on its revision and the text of the new resolution have not yet been published.

As reported, the smuggling scandal began in May. In June, when the evidence implicating the management of the embassy appeared, the President Poroshenko dismissed the ambassador of Ukraine in Slovakia.

In September, Oksana Lischyshyn was fired from the diplomatic service because of "breach of oath".
