The “Silver Land Debut” will be awarded in Uzhgorod

On April 12, at 16:00, the results of the literary prize "Silver Land Debut" will be announced in the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library. The prize for young writers will be presented by Mykola Tomenko, the chairman of the "Ridna Kraina" charitable fund and Andriy Serbaylo, the head of the regional fund organization.

The prize "Silver Land Debut" was founded with the aim of honoring the best Transcarpathian authors for the first book or large publication in Ukrainian in two nominations – "prose" and "poetry". This is one of the oldest literary awards of the region. During its existence, 20 young writers have already been awarded, some of which have become known, in particular, Andriy Lyubka, Les Beley, Taras Vashchuk, Irysya Lykovich, Vik Kovrey and others.

Last year the winners of the "Silver Land Debut" were Marichka Chernychko for the collection "Four Chairs" and Olesya Chepelyuk for the drama "Do not Betray Me!".

During the meeting the traditional "Ukrainian Annuary-2018" will also be presented.
