On February 25 (Saturday), in the city of Uzhgorod, there will be a seminar on control and prevention of corruption in utility companies "Reform of management and control over the activities of utility companies."
Purpose: to increase awareness of active citizens, journalists and local councils on ways and tools to monitor the activities of utility companies.
We invite:
- active citizens;
- journalists and bloggers;
- members of political parties;
- local council deputies and their assistants.
During the seminar the following issues will be addressed:
- The establishment and operation of utility companies, public institutions and organizations. The organizational and legal framework.
- The financial basis of the operation of utilities. Planning and reporting on the use of funds, disposal of municipal property.
- The establishment and operation of the supervisory boards of utility companies. The selection of managers of utilities.
- 10 + 1 ways to find corruption in utility companies. Practical cases of corruption in the the work of utility companies.
The seminar is organized with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine.
