The Security Service of Ukraine is investigating the case about recruiting of Transcarpathian migrant workers in Russia

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the network of agents of Russian secret services, the organizer of which were recruiting Transcarpathian workers in Russia.

Law enforcement officers found out that in Moscow, Russian secret services were recruiting residents of Transcarpathia under the guise of public organization. During the "workshops" and "conferences", curators would give residents of the region the tasks, including campaigning in support of autonomy of Transcarpathian region.

The Security Service documented the illegal activities of a civic organization leader – former Russian secret service officer. In 2015, he recruited several residents of Transcarpathia, who agreed to participate in road blocking in the region, protests against the mobilization and rallies in support of the autonomy of the region, creation of the republic "Carpathian Ruthenia".

The actions of the citizen of Russia are classified under Part 3 of Art. 110-2 (Financing of actions committed for overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power, changing the territory or the state border of Ukraine) and Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The citizen of Russia is on the wanted list. Special pre-trial investigation was initiated, because he permanently resides in Russia.
