The Security Service of Ukraine explained what Transcarpathian border guards were arrested for

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine caught two servicemen of one of the border guard detachments in Transcarpathian region on bribes.

The special service operatives found out that the border guards demanded from their colleague seven hundred dollars for concealing the facts of his alleged involvement in the smuggling of cigarettes across the state border of Ukraine.
Law enforcers detained both offenders in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine upon receipt of the total amount of the unlawful benefit. 

The detainees were notified of being suspected of committing a crime, the choice of pre-trial restraint is being decided. Within a criminal proceeding initiated under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the pre-trial investigation continues.
 The arrest was conducted under the procedural control of the military prosecutor’s office of the Uzhgorod garrison.
