Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked illegal migration of foreigners in Transcarpathian region.
The special service operatives found out that two residents of Ternopil tried to illegally transport six citizens of the South Asian countries across the state border. The offenders planned to transport foreigners outside the designated points of crossing located on the outskirts of Uzhgorod.
Law enforcers detained both traffickers and illegal immigrants while they were attempting to illegally cross the Ukrainian state border.
The organizers of the unlawful activities are charged with an offense as provided for in Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Urgent investigation measures are being taken.
The investigation was conducted under the procedural control of the prosecutor’s office, – the Press Center of the Security Service of Ukraine informs.
