The sculpture “Franz Liszt Airport” goes to Budapest

The conceptual sculpture "Franz Liszt Airport" was made by Mykhailo Kolodko who will give it as a gift to the Franz Liszt airport in Budapest through the Consulate General of Hungary.

The present from Uzhgorod sculptor to the airport is to honor the new name, which the airfield received last year. Little Franz Liszt sits on a seemingly usual pipe. But this pipe is a part of a special airport device for measuring luggage.   It is designed to determine if a suitcase or bag can be taken as hand luggage or it must be handled as baggage.

Hopefully the sculpture will please both Hungarians and all visitors of the airport, including Uzhgorod residents.
