The rock garden in Uzhgorod will be updated preserving the authenticity (PHOTOS)

Uzhgorod can receive grant money for the update of the rock garden.

It is not a bad idea, but still debatable. After all, it is one of the symbols of Uzhgorod and it is undesirable to make significant changes in this place.

This is the general summary of the City Planning Board meeting, which was held at the City Hall.

They considered the prospects of the rock garden update – the City Council informed.

As informed by the municipality, Diana Kaynts, the author of the project "Renovation of the unique rock garden", which won the contest of environmental projects and received the support and funding from the International Charity Fund "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace" in amount of about 135,000 UAH, told the board members the details of her proposal.

During a lengthy discussion, the experts reached a consensus that is unacceptable to lose the money for the project, but the work should not lead to radical changes in the concept of the rock garden. It is necessary to perform maintenance in the park, streamline the territory, repair benches, install lights, but in general to preserve the authenticity of this green corner. Therefore, the project will be slightly adjusted. It is planned further to develop a comprehensive project of the update of all the territory – from the park and to the "Owl’s Nest."

On Wednesday, September 7, there will be an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee, which will consider the project. The draft decision of the executive committee has alreadt been published.
