The roads of state importance in Transcarpathia are passing to the full control of the Road Service

On January 1, 2018, state motorways of general use in Transcarpathia will pass to the full control of the Road Service. This decision was taken in accordance with the changes in the legislation adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The list of roads of state importance in Transcarpathian region (their length is 921.2 km) approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №654 dd. 08.09.2017 is attached.

– The repair and maintenance of these roads is carried out by the Road Service in Transcarpathian region, which is funded directly from the State Budget of Ukraine without any involvement of the regional state administration or the regional council, – Hennadiy Moskal says. – Therefore, the Road Service bears full responsibility for the condition of the road pavement, repair, snow removal, traffic jams, etc., – the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs
