The return of the poacher? The killer of Red Book animals from Rakhiv region can be re-appointed to a position at the forestry

It is a deputy of the Rakhiv city council Mykhailo Kabal. He, according to the declaration, applies for a position of the acting deputy director of the state enterprise "Yasinya forestry".

In November 2017, the man and his father, Volodymyr Kabal, a forester of the state enterprise "Rakhiv forestry", hunted animals on the verge of extinction, and then they posed for the photo with the killed Red Book animals – lynx and black grouse.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted over the publication of photographs of poachers posing with dead animals. However, no court decisions have been found in the registry. The poacher was fired from Rakhiv forestry in May 2018. He sued the state forestry for reinstatement, but to no avail. Public activists consider it unacceptable to appoint the poacher to a position in the forestry.
