On June 9, in Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library named after F. Potushnyak, there was the presention of the military historical research about the First World War by PhD, practicing surgeon Yuriy Fatula "And we have not buried the fallen…".

Though not a historian by profession, he did a quality first research of the history of the 85th Maramures-Ugocsa regiment of the Austro-Hungarian army, in which Transcarpathians were fighting. The author wanted to learn more about the fate of his grandfather Tomas Fatula, a soldier of the Austro-Hungarian army who died in 1918 at the Italian Front and to whom he dedicated the book. The studying of rare archival materials, documents from private collections, memories finally resulted in a book. According to Yuriy Fatula, this book is not about generals, but about soldiers, not about famous ones, but about unknown ones, about those who suffered…

"With this book, we pay homage to our grandfathers, great-grandfathers who died unjustly and still are not buried", – the publisher, director of the publishing house "Patent" Ivan Klyuchevsky said.

The book is also valuable for its martyrology (list of soldiers who were killed). Therefore, people can find information about their relatives.

Practicing surgeon Yuriy Fatula says that he plans to actively practice surgery, but the research is likely to be continued, because he still has not found information on his great-grandfather.
